Last week was a wonderfully healthy week for me. I added some variety to my exercising by swimming some laps, some yoga, etc. It was great. I'd also highly recommend Fitness Blender if you're ever looking for a fun, quick workout. I also came across this post today about the best Youtube fitness channels! You're welcome!!!
Yesterday was a beautiful, 25 degree (at least) sunny day in Halifax, and today, rainy and humid. Blech. I got my run in last night, but it wasn't as intense as I would have liked. I signed up for a pretty casual ($15 entry fee) 5Km run for this Sunday. My goal is to finish it with minimal walking. I need to create a good playlist for it, but I am hoping (most of all) that I can keep my time under 45 minutes.
Tomorrow I'm going to link up with Holly and Mel for their Share your Wedding post. Is it just me, or does Holly always seem to have the BEST link-ups? :) I am excited to write this post because it's been almost a year later, and I actually tried some of our wedding cake last night (still delicious a year later, but I'm worried about getting the flu from it - I will save that story for tomorrow!)
In preparation for tomorrow's link up, I'm going to do this one today:
{1} Describe your dating life prior to finding your husband/boyfriend/fiance.
I only really dated one other guy "seriously" before my husband, and it wasn't even serious in comparison. We dated for about 9 months in grade 12. We were friends for a bit afterwards, but we haven't spoken in years, and that's okay with me. It was just one of those high school relationships. At least I had a date for grad though? I didn't really date anyone in university either. Hmmm...boring eh? :) We met online & I only met one other guy before him...let's just say I was feeling butterflies for days after meeting Brian. We were on cloud 9 (NRE) for months :)
{2} Describe your husband/boyfriend/fiance in one word. How would he describe you in one word?
I would probably have to say reliable/loyal. His friends would attest to this as well. He is always willing to help someone out, he is always on time (usually early), he will never let you down if you need him, and he is a great friend. This trait has helped him to hang on to some of his friends since they were 4-5 years old. What an accomplishment!! He would probably say that I am annoying. But he would be kidding about that ;) He'd probably say that I was resourceful, actually...because I like to do my research before making decisions.
{3} You had a really silly fight. Embarrassing silly. What was it about?
We have had many of these silly fights...the most recent one was yesterday about laundry. He swears he cannot do laundry anymore because he can't tell which of my clothes can't go in the dryer, and does not want to put in the effort to sort out my clothes from his. We are working on a compromise...
Back in our sillier days pre-Molly :)
{4} In three sentences (and only three!), describe where you both hope to be in 5 years.
Still happily married, possibly in our current house or a bigger one, with at least one more little munchkin in our family. It'd also be pretty sweet to be on a beach in Hawaii or Costa Rica celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary!! We'd both also like to have progressed in our careers.
{5} Tell us something about your husband/boyfriend/fiance we wouldn't know from reading your blog.
Well, I haven't talked about him much on the blog...so pretty much anything goes! He loves recreational sports. Baseball (has played since he was a kid and plays seriously), dodgeball (lol - a sport? hmm..), bowling (again, not really a sport?!), ultimate frisbee (I got him into that one!), floor hockey, street hockey, ice hockey, soccer (He gave this one a go for about a month last year), hmm, I think that's about all of them lately.
{6} What's one thing you never thought you'd do in front of your husband/boyfriend/fiance, but you did?
Vomit...but what can ya do?! It happens!
Are you linking up tomorrow for the wedding re-cap?
Any fun hump day plans for anyone out there? I plan to take it easy tonight and get some cleaning done, and hubby has baseball if the rain clears up!!

Oh my gosh, the laundry debaucle! I had to take Ian off of laundry duty (all stemming over the fact that a dry clean only shirt went thru the wash). My fault for not sorting it in the dry cleaner's pile, but STILL! Laundry duty is now totally mine, and I'm okay with that. I'm also okay with the fact that he mows the lawn and I've never cared to learn how to do so :)
ReplyDeleteHaha yes I think we have come to the conclusion that I will do all of the laundry - but that doesn't mean he can't fold it and put it away!! Win-win! :)
