Linking up today with one of my faves KRISTEN to chat about What's New :)
March used to be the month where we started doing things with the outside world again, but I felt like April was that this time. But as always, writing it out never seems like much! With the weather improving, KC and I have gone on a couple of walks and Chelsea and I have been hanging on our little porch concrete square thing.

The girls started their races for the summer! The first one went really well - the second one got rained out.
Brian found a book he actually wants to read! #hehatestrump #fireandfury
We got to see a lot of friends, we had a date night which was great, we watched a few good movies including Still Life (the first Louise Penny book made into a movie), Wonder (which was INCREDIBLE), and another season of Modern Family (love that show). Also watched a few good kids movies like Anastasia <3 and Ferdinand :)
Went to the playground a bunch of times...
Gave the girls both haircuts again despite promising myself I wasn't going to do that again (haha)
Jumped in a bunch of puddles
And looked everywhere for Lucy under this umbrella :)
All in all - April had a few ups and downs, but what month doesn't? We are getting super excited for the summer to come (I will be off on Mondays and Fridays = AMAZING). I'm so excited for a little vacation we're taking to PEI in August and a lot of fun beach days and playdates and all of that. Already May is starting off strong too with some lovely weather and a lot of motivation!!! GO MAY GO! ;)
PS: I also read a bunch of great books which I will chat about next Tuesday for SUYB!!! And tomorrow I'll have another 14 Things Friday post up :)

I still haven't read Wonder yet. I really need to get around to it so I can watch the movie! You guys had a fun month. I dont even want to think about Zoe needing haircuts. Though, the poor kid has my crappy thin hair that is taking forever to grow so I have a while before I need to worry about that!
ReplyDeleteI think it’s so awesome that your girls run races, even though one of them got rained out. Their Wonder Woman costumes were just adorable! And I feel like we had some pretty gross weekends in April too and I didn’t appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for SUYB!! OOOH PEI! I am so envious and can't wait to hear about it!!! So fun. I would love to go someday! The photos of the girls are too cute, and I cannot one bit blame Brian with his sudden desire to read. I also have Trump. He's a scary demon and incredibly embarrassing to me as an American. UGH. LOL. I have missed this linkup all year so far, boo! Maybe this summer I can join in again! XO - Alexandra

oh wow i had no idea Still Life was a movie?! now i absolutely need to read the book. now, i know i don't have kids, but if i did, my bestie would kill be or unfriend me in real life if i cut their hair haha. she's a hairdresser lol. i'm not sure i could handle fire and fury, i just read HRC's book and it was emotional enough. i love that the girls do races!
