The Brian behind the Blog link-up!

Now that I am blogging a bit more regularly than in 2013, Brian is getting used to certain "blogger" habits...such as when I mention a comment someone made on a post I've written, or  taking pictures  to post on the blog. He is also (a bit) less reluctant to participate in fun posts like this one!! With the added incentive of a $30 Amazon gift card giveaway today on Mal and Stephanie's blogs, Brian was all for it (kind of) this month!

Here are the questions for my lovely hubby. I told him to try to expand on one word answers, if possible :)

1. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?

Umm...with you. (aww)
I don't know, it would probably be here...maybe somewhere in Halifax with a bit more land than we currently have and an attached garage. (He lived in Edmonton for 2 years and desperately missed Halifax. I think he'll be here for good ;) Personally, I wouldn't mind living somewhere warmer...lol!)

2. Sand or snow?

Sand. It's ok if that's a one word answer, right? (this is probably because we are all VERY sick of snow right now...)

3. What Winter Olympic sport would you rock at?

Hockey (Spoken like a true Canadian (right, Alex?)...and he actually does play recreational hockey, but I had to laugh because when he watches the incredibly unique sports at the Olympics like slopestyle skiing, he usually jokingly says something like "pfffft. I could so do that.")

4. You're cooking a romantic dinner- what is your go-to dish?

Chicken stir fry (pretty romantic, right?) or maybe surf and turf...steak and shrimp. (Brian asked me to elaborate here - the first meal he ever cooked for me on our third date was "surf and turf" on the BBQ and it was pretty good, but he waaaayyyy overcooked our steaks and hasn't lived it down since ;))

5. Fill in the blank: This year, I gave Heather a ____________________ for Valentine's Day?

"A great time", which means flowers and chocolates and a haircut. (He actually also surprised me by picking me up early at work with the flowers/chocolates/card/long-overdue hair cut...and watched a chick flick with me that night <3).

Check out everyone's posts on Mal or Stephanie's blogs!

  1. Hello from the link up! :) Love the answer to #4 - sounds like you got a pretty good meal ...and an even better story from that dinner {if he hasn't lived it down since ;)} ... So happy you enjoyed such a fantastic Valentine's Day!! :)

  3. Haha this post was too cute. I'm not too sure my hubby would answer the questions without some type of sarcastic remark for each question. Ha!

  4. Oh man, I didn't realise this was today! Ah well. It's probably for the best. I might make Andrew feel awkward by asking him the last question and him responding with "We didn't do anything because Alex hates v-day" haha.

Thanks for linking back to me in this! He's definitely a true Canadian! I could go for some sand right now!

  5. Fun post. Brian is a trooper for participating. My husband let me post the back of his head. Eastern Canada is beautiful. Halifax is one of my DH and I favourite places (we've both been many times but not together!?). We're heading to Newfoundland this summer and will definitely make a stop.

    1. Gah- Edmonton sucks. I'm sorry, but my brother lives there and we used to visit all of the time. I just don't like that city very much. I like the hockey team.. but not the city. I don't blame Brian at all!!
You can't go wrong with a Valentine's gift like that one! And Amanda... all I know, is that when I was getting to the 8 month point of my pregnancy 'a good time' was probably a back rub or help getting off the couch and that's about it!!! LOL
